Eating with Relish!



Gerry hoarded his cabbage for two weeks so he could make a huge bowl of slaw. He told me he used this recipe, but I knew there had to be revisions. Sure enough, he left out the celery seed (didn't have any), used both green and red cabbage, and subbed green pepper for red. One thing he didn't change was the inclusion of sweet pickle relish, but he made his own using his homemade pickles! The funny thing is, that probably made the recipe better, because one review of the original version said it was too sweet. I don't think it was too sweet for Gerry, because he's aleady eaten the entire batch in just a couple of days, and everytime he has some he says how much he enjoys the relish in it!
