...and good company.
Yes, I allow my cat on the dining room table. I promise I'll clean it well if I invite you over for dinner.
But more importantly, the salad greens. For the past few weeks we've received a bag of salad in our share, washed and ready to eat. Bagged salads are popular at the grocery store for a reason! It is so convenient. Gerry and I both love it. Thumbs up for that idea, Myerov Farm!

At least I assume that your dear child only gets on the table. Patrick, I fear, is hopelessly spoiled. He hops on the table or sits on the back of my chair and either begs or boldly tries to snag food. But an cat who's thirteen and a half and still spry and kittenish has a few privileges, right?
We have signed up for a winter half-share from a local CSA farm It starts mid-October---and I can hardly wait.
How much longer does yours go on?

As always, ISABELLA RULES!!!!
WHEW I'm not the only one! Isabella did venture down to my end of the table once she noticed the butter!
Where are you, Linda, that they have winter CSAs? Ours runs for three or four more weeks.
KLS, you know she does! She rules with a velvet paw.
We're in Atlanta GA. The Spring/summer one runs from April to August. I didn't get on that list in time so I signed up for Fall in May or I tried to. They said they'd let me know, so the minute I got the email last week, I RSVPed right away.
I think I'll try to do a blog about our CSA food. I'm a teacher and teacher are always "stealing" or borrowing, with adaptations, good ideas they see.

Linda, if you blog your csa, let me see! I can use ideas for next year, hehe.
Absolutely, I will.I may have to try kale- which is something I really don't care for. Maybe I need to learn to fix it creatively - also make it limp-er. You know what I mean. What I hope I get is Swiss Chard. I love that and I like the way I fix that. So do the guys - but I'm the cook, right. I cook what I enjoy. Fortunately I married a man who is willing to try different things - and also fortunately, the son who is at home has the most adventursome palate of all our children.
